It's a BOY!

Hello all! It's been a while since I posted, but I have been busy... we're expecting our first baby! The home office, where all my creative bird prints and creations occur, is being half converted into a baby-friendly zone. I still need the office to work from home during the early months, so it is not a full nursery. But most of my supplies, including my archival printer, is temporarily being moved. My store will be on hiatus for a short while, but it will be back with new prints, new products, a new name, new blog, and even a new consignment location in Long Grove, Illinois!

Meanwhile, I have kept myself busy crocheting little gifts for my baby boy, including booties, hats, and this cute bunny. The pattern is by LuvlyGurumi.

Alice's Aviary

Alice Melvin
is an extraordinary illustrator and children's author. I came across this gem of a poster, Alice's Aviary, while reading the blog, The Baking Bird. One of Alice's children's book, titled "Counting Birds," is such a cute idea and beautifully drawn.

Martha Stewart DIY Bird Wedding

Songbird Cake

Thank you cards

Ring pillow

Somebody must have told Martha Stewart that I love birds. She has a whole gallery of DIY bird decor, treats, favors, and accessories on her weddings website. I love all the ideas. And I want to do them all, but I have to pick and choose, because time is running out and I can only produce a limited amount of crafts in one day. Thanks for bird love, Martha!
