Birdhouse Gourds

Many of you are visiting local pumpkin patches for decorative mini gourds, jack o'lanterns, and cider doughnuts. Make sure to pick up some larger gourds (Ornamental or hard-shell) to get an early start on making gourd birdhouses for next spring. They take about 4-6 months to fully dry and harden. I made some keds shoes featuring my bird illustrations and I already won a "Today's Best" Award for Oct 15, 2008 for my goldfinch shoe! I am so pleased and excited! It makes me want to make more!
